FAQ
What is this thing, anyway?
We officially got married in November at a tiny wedding in Quebec, but we still want to celebrate with all of our friends and family.
So this is our Happily Ever After Party! A boat bash of matrimonial merrymaking on May 23, 2026.
What to expect:
- Beautiful setting on the Delaware River (no, the boat won't be going anywhere).
- Live music, much dancing.
- Taco bar.
- The first few rounds of beer, wine, soda, etc are on us until the tab runs out.
What’s the vibe / dress code?
Elegant. Sparkly. A glamorous boat party. Cocktail attire with a little sparkle is extremely welcome.
Champagne energy encouraged.
Hotels?
There is a block of rooms at the Hilton Philadelphia at Penn's Landing, steps away from the venue. Rooms are only blocked off until May 1 so if you want to stay there don't dilly dally.
- $259 per night, the link above goes directly to the event booking.
- Phone: 215-521-6500, mention our names for those rooms/rates.
Other nearby hotels include the Holiday Inn Express - Penn's Landing, only a mile up the road.
- Phone: 215-627-7900
There are a number of Airbnb and VRBO options in the area. Look in Old City, Society Hill, or Queen Village to stay near the action.

Where do I park?
If you're staying at the Hilton, parking is $40/day. That's not bad for peace of mind but a ticket from the PPA is $36, so it's cheaper to park illegally (just don't get towed 😂).
Lots and garages:
- Venue, $20 flat daily rate. Convenient but pricey.
- 215 Lombard, $25/day max. Hourly rates available.
- 511 S Front St, $12 Saturday rate, $20 overnight.
There is street parking nearby, both metered and free. These are typically 2-3 hours max until 10pm and resets in the morning. Front, South, and Pine all have good options. Check out Spot Angels as a resource to map out the options.
What time should I arrive?
Please arrive at 5:30pm for cocktail hour featuring live music from The Smugglers. Toasts and formal dances follow at 6:30pm. Then fill the dance floor and party with us at 7:00pm to music from Nowhere Slow. There will be a set break around 8:00pm for dessert. At 9:00pm we'll start wrapping up, say goodbyes to those calling it a night (no judgement!), and transition to the after party at Cavanaugh’s, where we first met!
All times EST.
Is this a real boat?
It is a real boat, however it stays permanently docked. The lower decks where we'll be eating, drinking, and dancing are all fully covered. There is also an upper deck for fresh air and views that will be open, weather permitting. Bring a light layer just in case.
Accessibility / mobility needs?
We want this to be easy and comfortable. If you have any needs, please reach out and we’ll make a plan.

Your presence is the real gift. Seriously, not the thing where we say it but get mad if you don't do it.

Things to do in Philly
History + tours
Museum of the American Revolution — a modern classic since 2017 with immersive exhibits and an hourly theatrical presentation featuring Washington’s tent. Margaret’s mom, ZeeAnn, helped bring it to life (two decades of work + founding COO energy).
WeVenture Philly — our favorite tour company (hi Steph + Nicole!). Smaller groups, super thoughtful guides, and genuinely great storytelling.
Use code WVPARTY for 15% off any tour.
Waterfront vibes
Spruce Street Harbor Park — steps from the Hilton + the Moshulu. Food, drinks, river air, and yes: hammocks. 😊
Map: open in Google Maps
Art + visual wonder
Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens — Isaiah Zagar’s mosaic dreamscape. Get tickets in advance if you can.
- Philadelphia Museum of Art (and yes, the Rocky steps/statue moment)
- Barnes Foundation
- Rodin Museum
- Calder Gardens (new-ish and very “quiet wow”)
With little people
Please Touch Museum — truly delightful, with a carousel that Margaret + her sister Lucy loved as kids. Still holds up.
The Franklin Institute — big science museum energy, and also where ZeeAnn had her first Philly job (and 5-year-old Margaret was in promo materials!).
Restaurants we love
- Dim Sum Garden — soup dumplings. Do it.
- Royal Tavern — best burger (including veggie/vegan), upscale pub vibes.
- Adoro — South Philly BYOB Italian near our house.
- Fergie’s Pub — old-school Irish pub magic. (map)
- Khyber Pass Pub — great beer list + strong vegan options (Old City, near the venue).
- The Twisted Tail — whiskey + jazz, no cover.
- Brauhaus Schmitz — German beer hall heaven.
- Tattooed Mom — Jake’s fave. Punk bar with great vegan + non-vegan.
- Cavanaugh’s — casual sports bar where we met.
Cheesesteak needs:
- Our pick: Jim’s (South St.)
- Vegan: Triangle Tavern
Or go cheesesteak-adjacent. Cheesesteak eggrolls exist for a reason.
